Nine high profile projects at home for T R Freeman
Expert metal roofing and cladding contractor T R Freeman is involved in nine high profile projects in its home city of Cambridge.The company has been in the city since being formed 120 years ago. And while it works across the UK, it’s been chosen to support a host of local high profile exciting building projects.
Top of the list of local achievements is a £1.1 million zinc roof on the new Grand Arcade shopping centre, currently being constructed in the city centre by Bovis Lend Lease.
Managing Director Gary Webb said: “T R Freeman has been a part of the Cambridge community since 1887. The business has changed and expanded significantly throughout the years, but the Cambridge element has always been there.
“We're very pleased to be contractors on so many high profile local projects. It’s an exciting time to be in Cambridge, and T R Freeman is right there in the middle of the changes to the city.”
Other local projects currently involving T R Freeman include:
• Queens College: A £500,000 traditional zinc roofing and cladding project for R G Carters
• Bradwells Court / Christs Lane : A substantial stainless steel roofing project right in the heart of the city including all the timber substrates, aluminium fascias and Single Ply Membrane works. Value will be upwards of £400,000.00, the main contractor is SDC of Bedford.
• Corpus Christi College: A traditional copper project for the college in the centre of Cambridge, as it expands and refurbishes. Main contractor is Haymills
