Experienced Professional Joins Kershaw Group Board
November 11 2015
Multi-disciplined building services firm, the Kershaw Group Limited, is expanding its Board with the addition of a Non-Executive Director. The role is being taken on by Geoff Davies who previously enjoyed a long career with Grant Thornton where he was Head of Corporate Finance and latterly Head of Advisory (Regions).
Having undergone a period of transition following the acquisition of its own Headquarters back in August 2013, which saw the construction group co-locate its three operating companies under one roof for the first time, the appointment of Mr Davies is a further sign of the Kershaw Group’s on-going development.
Group Managing Director, Mark Finlay said “We are delighted to welcome Geoff Davies to the Board. He will play a key role in helping to shape our objectives and strategic direction, and the Board expects to be both stimulated and challenged by his input to our business processes. As we continue to look to the future, Geoff’s external perspective and experience will be of great insight and benefit to the group.”
He added “In terms of the bigger picture, although our companies operate nationally, Kershaw’s roots are firmly planted in Cambridge where the group has been based since its inception over 125 years ago. So it was important to us that we attract into this role an individual whose is also committed to growing our local economy. With Geoff having spent the last 25 years working in Cambridge, we are confident that the group is acquiring a business professional whose aspirations for our region reflect our own.”
Speaking of his appointment, Mr Davies said ““I am delighted to be joining the Board of the Kershaw Group. The Group has enjoyed a long and successful history, and I look forward to working with the Board to deliver the next stage in the group’s development.”
