Metal roofing firm T R Freeman boosts single ply by joining SPRA
Architectural metal roofing and cladding company T R Freeman has boosted its new single ply division by being accepted as a member of the Single Ply Roofing Association (SPRA).
The Cambridge-based company set up a new single ply and flat roofing division last year after being licensed to supply and install Sika-Trocal.
It has employed experienced membranes manager Cyril Balcombe to run the new division.
Managing director Gary Webb said: “T R Freeman has been around for more than a century, and nowadays is famous for high quality architectural metal roofing and cladding. We have worked on many high profile projects in the last few years.
“Entering into the single ply and flat roofing market was the right strategy for us. It means we are able to offer our client base a much wider range of services.
“They already trust T R Freeman for metal roofing, and by being accepted into the SPRA we are able to demonstrate our expertise in single ply as well.”
T R Freeman Ltd was formed more than 120 years ago and is now part of the well-known Kershaw Group.
The group employs 183 people with a turnover of £40 million.
It is heavily involved in the local community, including a record-breaking 10 year sponsorship of Cambridge United’s away shirts.
