T R Freeman celebrates its part in award winning Accordia development
Metal roofing and cladding company T R Freeman Ltd is celebrating its part in the unique housing development that won a major architectural award at the weekend.
The Cambridge company installed in excess of £750,000 of copper cladding to the new housing development Accordia.
At the weekend the development was given the RIBA Stirling prize, Britain’s premier architectural award.
Gary Webb, Managing Director of T R Freeman Ltd, said: “Accordia stood out as being a stunning development from the very beginning and we are delighted to see it win such a significant award.
“The architects must be congratulated for their foresight. It’s a real success story and was a great project for us to work on.”
T R Freeman Ltd has been in Cambridge since being formed 120 years ago and is part of the Kershaw Group.
The group employs 183 people with a turnover of £35 million.
It is heavily involved in the local community, including a sponsorship of Cambridge United’s away shirts.
